Back to the other side of the the Sahara and across the Bay of Aqaba into Jordan for another desert picture. This was taken somewhere in the desert outside of Ramm. I can't say exactly where, as our guide for an overnight trip into the desert, Audi, drove us all over and left us at this spot for a few hours so he could further supplement his income by bringing others to see the sunset from this spot. The car tracks provide ample evidence that he's not the only one with the same idea. As the sun got lower, white truck after white truck pulled up, each filled with tourists to witness the sun set behind the impressive stone hills that define Wadi Rum before heading back to Ramm while we retreated to our sparse camp in the desert, hoping that at some point Audi would make his return. (He did.)
On a technical note, like most of these desert pictures, the grain is because this was a scan from a negative on a less than perfect Polaroid neg scanner.

Must get a lot of visitors for all those tracks. Very nice work. Laurie @ November 18, 2008
Due to the many tracks in the sand there should be a lot of people there. I like the composition. Frida @ November 18, 2008
