At long last, I got a battery for the rather pitiful little motor for our boat and managed to leave harbour on Saturday afternoon. It was a beautiful day and even though summer is winding down here, I was clearly not the only person with the idea to try a bit of boating. Especially in the main channel heading south towards Hunnebostrand, there were boats aplenty. This was just one of many times I was passed by other vessels.
In a content note, I sort of wavered on this shot but decided to go for it. When this blog was daily, this would have fit in the mix without question. I feel like I have been editing myself too much. So while it introduces yet another style of shot (someone please tell me if there are too many styles), you may see more of these kind of things in the next while.

I like this this point of view. Nice shot. ysk @ August 10, 2009
I don't think it's too many styles, Jim. Every picture of yours that I look at got your very own unique style. I think that comes from the fact that you got a special way of seeing things in their surroundings & that all of your pictures tell a lot more than being just a photograph. Every of your pictures truly tells a story. And that gives them the signature I see in every picture. And by the way: A great point of view & a beautiful picture, Jim. All the best & safe travels, Fritsch. Fritsch @ August 10, 2009
Nice image, with a fantastic title. This is what summer should be all about! :-) -trond- @ August 10, 2009
I don't think there is any such thing as too many styles. I think that it is interesting to be diverse. I like the "organic" nature of this one. Nice perspective. Laurie @ August 11, 2009
the colours and the width of the background are fantastic. And to your styles: don't look back in anger - styles could be change and that is the interesting to it. a.h.lex @ August 12, 2009
Great shot here Jim! Very summery, I really like the general blue cast in the shot. I think this is a typical 'you style' and I think we have to careful not to lock ourselves down too much. Great you still have some nice days to take the boat out! Enjoy! :-) Thomas Folke Andersen @ August 14, 2009
An excellent image. I like the perspective of this image. So peaceful. P.J. @ August 23, 2009
Too many styles??? gosh no! It is for you do decide what to do, not for the 'outsiders' to decide...
I like this one and yet, I feel that it could be better. More depth in the clouds? a bit more detail in the boat on the left? Or maybe that's part of your 'new style'? :-) Sophie @ September 1, 2009
