• My feet (and grubby old running shoes) on an outing with my daughter yesterday morning. If it's not clear how—or perhaps even why—this was taken, there will be a strong hint in the next photo, coming up tomorrow or the day after.

• Good choice. What you wear at your feet is probably the most important part of the photographer's gear. I am not kidding. I just count the kilometers that I have strolled around to make pictures, and all the times I went back completely exhausted !
