For photo #365 in my 365,000 words project, it seemed fitting to make the final image words of appreciation made from the photos that have made up this photoblog over the past 12 months. (If you want to see it more close-up, I've posted a Zoomify version where you can view the 6000+ individual photos.) But I really am thankful for everyone who has been a part of this through comments, exchanges and critiques. Special thanks to Rhys, Jon, Jesse, Sophie, Ruben, Thomas, Eugene, Brad, Klaus, Marcie, Frida, Claus, Laurie, Jim, Dave, Jen, Sean and Alejandra (among others) for providing both regular feedback and inspiration with their own diverse works. I also have to give a special thanks to my wife Eva for putting up with this project/obsession over the past year, even if she doesn't always get it.
Today, however, does not mark the end of 365,000 words. I have every intention to keep going, although I make no promises of a photo every day. It's been a good exercise (even if I have had to raid my archives more than I'd like at times), but I am looking forward to a more measured pace and the luxury of skipping the days where I feel like I haven't got anything I really feel is post-worthy. But I have a few ideas for the photoblog over the coming weeks and months. The (long overdue) redesign debuts today as well, which I think presents a slightly cleaner presentation of the photos that I've been wanting to do for a while.
So thanks again for being a part of the past year and I hope it continues over the next year. (And if you haven't delved much into the archives of the past 12 months, give the Random link a try at the top of the page. You never know what will pop up.)
Thanks for visiting. I really appreciate your support and comments!
