An archival shot today. I know it's a bit of a stereotype, but one of the things I do miss about Canada is good maple syrup and where I used to work, we would make our own from some of the sugar maples in the forest behind the office. This photo, however, is from a larger, more professional operation run by a family of Mennonites in the Kitchener-Waterloo area of southern Ontario.

This is quite an intriguing composition. Nice in black and white. Laurie @ February 18, 2009
Gosh, looks sinister, could be electrodes and a voltmeter with rising smoke from a smoldering victim. I think the ambiguity of this shot makes it work so well. RHYS @ February 19, 2009
I love this shot Jim. Very ominous and moody. Great job. Jesse Moscoe @ February 20, 2009
Yummmmm. Making maple syrup with Hannibal Lecter! David Barry @ March 28, 2009
