Along the Soteleden are cabins that anyone can stay in, free of charge. They vary in size and amenities (another one I stayed in was featured on the blog back in May here.) But this one, tucked away on the edge of a field not far from a small lake, was more than I expected. Inside was a table, benches to sleep four (although not terribly comfortably--better off wth just three on the benches), even a wood stove that allowed us to keep the cabn warm despite night time temperatures down to 8 C. You could definitely do worse than this.

Marvelous place ! superb shot ! Vink @ October 7, 2008
I like log cabin and tree house. It's always marvellous. Open the door and find your childhood, more than a shelter. This is present in your image because of the softness of the color. Green and melancholy. melhiug @ October 7, 2008
Just wonderful !!! David Eastham @ October 7, 2008
I really like the smoke coming from the chimney. It makes the little cabin look strangely inviting. Laurie @ October 7, 2008
Nice atmosphere here. Like fairytale- Įsgaršr @ October 11, 2008
that could be the "Hexenhaus" of the farytale Hänsel & Gretel. Real cool shot! Matthias @ October 14, 2008
Great job framing this shot. I like how the red cabin seems tucked away in its surroundings and also how its color stands out in the green. Sean @ October 29, 2008
