I don't think its lacking anything. The desaturated tones works well. The only thing I'd be tempted to do would be to burn in a bit of the sky. RHYS @ August 25, 2008
Hi Jim, for me the image is about the flag, the rock and the subtle tones in the sky, so it's not lacking anything, on the contrary I feel it has too much of that earthy/beachy foreground and that texture does not hold my attention. I'm wondering about starting the image at the rock using a wide angle shot and use that as foreground and the middleground/background is the flag and sky. Just my thoughts. As usual the toning is very nice. Thomas Folke Andersen @ August 25, 2008
Perfectly simple. Love the soft tonal quality of the processing. Excellent! Marcie @ August 25, 2008
...i donītthink there is missing something...itīs beautiful...but to be honest, my first association when seeing it was a picture of the moon...the famous one where the astronaut, the moonlandscape and the USA flag are on... Sue @ August 25, 2008
I would tend to agree with Thomas. The sand does not add anything when the rock and flag are the main points of interest. My first reaction was to crop the sand to make a square image. The tones create a wonderful mood though. sophie @ August 26, 2008
