Another macro shot from a forest ecology project I was involved in several years back (that unfortunately never saw the light of day). I had never really paid much attention to this picture before... but with a bit of cropping, it became a new image. And there is something about the colour in the fly's eyes... I wouldn't say it makes the fly look "attractive", but it gives me a new appreciation for beauty in a rather unlikely subject.
