If a picture is worth a thousand words,
how about a year's worth of pictures?

About 365,000 words

One photo a day for a year. That's where this all started on April 1, 2008.

The year is now over, but the project continues. Not necessarily every day now, but frequently.

While many photographers have a certain style or theme to their work, mine is, for better or worse, a bit all over the place. My theme is that there isn't really much of a theme, in either subject or a highly consistent look across the images. The body of work has included (but never been limited to) landscapes, animals, the ocean, people (not all of whom are related to me), rural Sweden, insects, places I have been in the past, and a series of pictures of streetlights.

About me

I'm a transplanted Canadian now living in Sweden who has been doing photography in one way or another for more years than I care to think about. While past work has included photographic assignments — I've been lucky to be paid to photograph deserts on three continents — photography is definitely a passion and hobby rather than a living.

When not behind the camera, I do web and graphic design and creative direction.

I live in Hunnebostrand, a small fishing village on the west coast of Sweden with my wife Eva and daughter Ella, both of whom you'll see if you look around the pictures.
